My Process

I think of my work as the edited outcomes of a series of actions, playful experiments and decisions. These will centre around key ideas I am interested in during a project. It’s a bit like a ‘function box’ in primary school maths. There are the input actions, ideas, materials, then a ‘function’ acts on these (that’s me doing art stuff) and this leads to an outcome. I then edit and curate these artefacts, drawings, paintings, photographs, videos (etc) to create and alter the meaning. Trying and testing out different possibilities until I am satisfied, in an attempt to connect, communicate and create experiences. I continually look to develop new art ideas, skills and experiences to keep feeding the actions of this ‘function box’. It’s all good fun.
